2WD or 4WD
The Jeep Compass allows you the option of choosing from two available 4×4 systems: Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low. The Jeep Active Drive system provides a rear axle disconnect that switches from 2WD to 4WD automatically to increase efficiency.
The Trailhawk's Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 system adds a 20:1 crawl ratio and low range for Trail Rated® capability. Both systems include Selec-Terrain® Traction Management System to give you the control you need in 4 modes: Auto, Snow, Sport & Sand/Mud.
Compass Performance
If your Jeep Compass is equipped with the Trail Rated badge it signifies that it has been tested to perform in the following five categories of off-road conditions: traction, ground clearance, maneuverability, articulation and water fording.
