6 Spring Vehicle Maintenance Tips To Getting Your Vehicle Ready

  1. Tire Check - If you’re using snow tires, now is the time to change your tires to  all season, summer or summer tires. Winter tires are designed for traction, not longevity, hot pavement tends to wear out winter tires much faster. If you use all-season tires, you will want to check your tires for proper tire inflation and inspect them for signs of wear.
  2. Check Fluids - You don’t want to wait til the fluids fail to find out that fluids are low or dirty and a dirty windshield decreases visibility and is dangerous. Here are six key fluids to check while you’re under the hood: Engine Oil, Power Steering Fluid, Brake Fluid, Transmission Fluid, Antifreeze/Coolant, Windshield Washer Fluid.
  3. Check Your Brakes - Brakes should be checked every 6 months or 25k miles, so now is the perfect time to make sure your brakes are ready when you need them most.
  4. Check Your A/C - Don’t wait til temperatures get too high before you check your vehicle air conditioning unit. A vehicle’s A/C system can be affected during winter months, have your A/C system check and recharged if necessary
  5. Wash Your Vehicle - Whether you’re the type to run your vehicle through the car wash or wash the car yourself, you will want to be sure to take the extra time to give the undercarriage a thorough spraying to wash off all the salt and brine from winter driving.
  6. Spring Clean The Interior - Now is the time to not only spring clean your home, but your vehicle. You’ve probably noticed extra dirt and debris inside the cabin of your vehicle. Vacuuming out and detailing your vehicle will have your vehicle looking its best.
