Meet the 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk
The Trailhawk has been taking the Cherokee, Renegade and Grand Cherokee to new heights. Now, we’ll have 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk models at our Union County NJ dealership location that are designed to go on various off-road adventures.
In terms of numbers, here are a few that matter: 30° approach angle, 24° breakover angle, 34° departure angle, almost 1” of increased ride height and up to 19” of water fording. In terms of features, here are a few Trailhawk-exclusive ones that make off-road driving easier:
- Rock mode, joining Auto, Snow, Sand and Mud driving modes for the Selec-Terrain system
- Selec-Speed Control, giving you more control going down hills
- Jeep signature red front & rear tow hooks, making it easier to tow up to 2,000 lbs
- Unique fascias, skid plates & 17” off-road tires, adding even more
The Trailhawk isn’t the only Compass that can go off-road. The Jeep Active Drive and Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 systems are offered for this SUV, with the key difference being the latter’s 20:1 crawl ratio being ideal for tasks like putting boats in and out of water.
Let’s wrap up with the new engine under the hood that’s great for daily driving: a 180-hp 2.4L Tigershark 4-cylinder that can get up to an EPA-estimated 30 mpg highway. You can thank Engine Start-Stop for that since it actually turns off the engine when you’re stopped at a light or sitting in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
The 2017 Jeep Compass will be available at our Summit, New Jersey dealership location. Please contact the team at Salerno Duane to learn more about this all-new SUV!
